Why a Securelux Installation Costs More Than Budget Installers – and Why It Should

If you have received a Securelux quote alongside quotes from other security screen companies, you have probably noticed the price is higher. This page explains exactly where your money goes and why every dollar is there for a reason.

Securelux does not charge more because the product is fancier. We charge more because we do more – at every stage of the process, from the first phone call to years after installation.

What You Are Actually Paying For

1 In-House Employed Installers – No Subcontractors

Every Securelux installer is a direct employee of the company, not an outside contractor. That means they are trained to Securelux and Crimsafe standards, they know the products intimately, and they are accountable to the same team you spoke with when you booked your consultation. Subcontracting is how many competitors keep headline prices lower, but it introduces inconsistency, unclear accountability, and quality risk.

2 A Proper Consultation, Not a Quick Measure-and-Quote

A Securelux consultant visits your home, assesses your openings, discusses your security priorities, explains the differences between product tiers, and recommends solutions tailored to your home type, location, and budget. You receive an itemised quote that breaks down every product, accessory, and installation requirement so there are no surprises later. Many competitors provide a lump-sum figure with little explanation of what is included.

3 Local Manufacturing with Quality Control at Every Stage

Crimsafe products are manufactured in the Securelux factory at Redland Bay. Frames are cut and assembled, mesh is precisely trimmed, and the patented Screw-Clamp system is applied with Tef-Gel on every clamp screw to prevent galvanic corrosion. Each product passes through multiple quality control checkpoints before it leaves the factory. The final QC inspection confirms that every door, window, or screen is ready for a perfect fit on install day.

4 Heavy-Duty Accessories as Standard

Securelux uses Austral Parrot Beak triple locks, heavy-duty hinges, anti-jemmy striker plates, and bug seals on every installation. All accessories are colour-matched to your frames wherever possible. Many installers use lighter-grade hardware to keep costs down – you may not notice the difference on day one, but you will notice it three years later when locks loosen, hinges sag, or finishes fade.

5 Saltwater Series Corrosion Protection

Even on standard (non-coastal) installations, the Securelux manufacturing team applies Saltwater Series gel to every clamp screw. This is an additional step that protects against corrosion in Queensland’s humid and salt-air-exposed environment. It is not something every installer does – it is a Securelux standard.

6 SecureCare After-Sales Support

Your relationship with Securelux does not end on install day. SecureCare is the company’s branded after-sales program. If a door starts dragging, a lock needs adjustment, or a screen needs attention after installation, Securelux has a clear process to address it. Where an attempted break-in or vandalism occurs, Securelux attends for a flat $99 call-out fee. Warranty claims on Crimsafe products (up to 10 years, plus 2 with conditions) and a 12-month Securelux workmanship warranty are handled directly – no third parties, no run-around.

7 Complete Payment After Installation

Securelux does not ask for full payment upfront. Final payment is expected only after installation is complete and you have confirmed you are satisfied with the product and the workmanship. This is a deliberate policy that keeps accountability where it belongs.
